Best Financial Books Of All Time
If you really want to understand money, you should read more often. There are so many wonderful books on finance and investing that you could pick up. I am a big fan of personal finance books, nd have quite a collection in my Kindle. I wanted to share (in my opinion) the best financial books of all time. Each of the books discussed here has influenced me greatly and helped me manage my money better, make the right choices in life, and hopefully, achieve financial independence at some stage in my life. Here’s a look at the best financial books of all time.
The Total Money Makeover
by Dave Ramsey
Dave Ramsey is my favorite personal finance writer. His advice is effective because it is clear, forthright and based on common sense. In The Total Money Makeover, he simplifies complex financial concepts and gives you clear cut guidelines on what to do and what not to do to get off debt permanently. This book has sold over 5 million copies and helped so many people around the world get smarter about money, pay off their debts and transform their circumstances.
The Millionaire Fast Lane
by MJ DeMarco
MJ DeMarco is an author, entrepreneur and motivational speaker who has written the best book I’ve ever read on getting rich. DeMarco is not a big fan of working for a large company all your life, retiring when you’re in your sixties and investing 5-10 percent of your income in the stock market. He says that it is impossible to get rich from simply investing in mutual funds. You need a better strategy to get rich, which is to start your own business and work incredibly hard for a few years so that you can make it a success. Your goal should be to get rich fast.
The Millionaire Next Door
by Thomas J. Stanley and William D. Danko
The Millionaire Next Door studies the lifestyle of self-made millionaires, worth $1 million or more. Authors Thomas J. Stanley and William D. Danko focus on ordinary, everyday people with high net worth compared to their income and compare them to those who are in high paying jobs but have a low net wealth. The authors talk about how the millionaires next door spend their money – they spend money on the best health care, legal advice, financial and accounting advice, rather than on cars, designer clothes, and other extravagancies.
The Money Book for the Young, Fabulous & Broke
by Suze Orman
Who hasn’t heard of Suze Orman? She is the Oprah Winfrey of personal finance. Her advice is mainly targeted at younger people – Millennials. In her book, The Money Book for the Young, Fabulous & Broke, she explains who to cope with high student loans, navigate the job market, control spending and stop being broke all the time.
I Will Teach You to be Rich
by Ramit Sethi
Ramit Sethi is today one of the leading personal finance experts in the United States. The book I Will Teach You to be Rich, published in 2009, made Ramit a famous man. This is a very practical book with actionable advice and excellent tips on improving your financial situation, starting an online business and getting a better job.
